Fraser Keil
Technical director
A seasoned project manager with over 17 years of experience in subsea operations, spanning engineering, project management, and execution.
Accredited by the UK Engineering Council, Fraser holds an MBA in Project Management, is a certified PMP, and has led major offshore projects across multiple energy sectors worldwide.
Shane Lockhart
Executive Director
Shane brings 30 years of global experience in offshore oil & gas, holding roles such as Air & Saturation Diver, Air & Bell Diving Supervisor, Nightshift Diving Superintendent, Onshore Dive Technical Authority and Offshore Construction Manager.
As Executive Director of DEEPSIX, he is a certified Offshore Diving Safety Specialist and a leader in subsea operations, training, and industry innovation.
Sam Mehos
Managing Director
Sam combines expertise in commercial diving, underwater welding, project engineering, and drilling tool manufacturing, seamlessly blending technical skill with 17 years of hands-on experience.
With a track record of innovation and leadership, he drives advancements in underwater engineering and manufacturing, pushing boundaries to enhance efficiency and reliability.
Our Core Team
Alex Sevensma
General Manager
Alex brings 20 years of global marine industry experience, spanning air and closed bell diving, supervision, project management, and procedure development. He’s worked across offshore oil and gas, wind farms, marine transport, and underwater construction and inspection.
His contributions include IRM programs, SPM maintenance and installation, pipelines, underwater welding, heavy equipment operation, and ship husbandry. Alex’s deep technical knowledge and field expertise consistently build client trust and drive project success.
Luke McParland
DIVING SUPERINTENDENT
Luke brings 15 years of experience across commercial diving, marine construction, mining, oil and gas, and industrial projects throughout Canada and Australia. A Red Seal carpenter with project management and Diving Superintendent experience, he has worked across inland and industrial diving operations in demanding environments.
His experience includes hydroelectric and pipeline projects, marine construction support, and underwater operations for municipal, industrial, and resource sector clients. Luke’s practical leadership, technical knowledge, and hands-on field experience consistently support a strong safety focus and efficient project delivery.
Doug Olson
Dive supervisor
Doug Olson brings 30 years of diverse experience, including logging, heavy equipment operation, and 15 years in marine construction as a saturation diver and supervisor.
As Project Supervisor at Deepsix Subsea, he leads The Ocean Cleanup initiative, applying his expertise in marine operations, diving, and engineering to combat plastic pollution.
Paul Vickers
Commercial Diver
Paul Vickers has been an air diver since 2007, an inshore diving supervisor since 2010, and a saturation diver since 2012.
With experience in heavy subsea construction across Asia and the North Sea, he has also contributed as a project engineer on The Ocean Cleanup Project, showcasing his versatility in marine and environmental initiatives.
Lee Ellert
Commercial Diver
Lee Ellert began his career in the Alberta oil patch in 2012, advancing from laborer to welding supervisor before transitioning to commercial diving in 2020.
Now a key member of Deepsix Subsea, he brings expertise in pipeline operations, equipment handling, and a strong commitment to safety, growth, and excellence.
